We’re currently in Saladita, Mexico and looking for house-sitting opportunities and also educational hubs for teens close to the ocean.

*Access to a vehicle during the sit or anyone could rent a car would be hugely appreciated!

・ House & pet sitting (very experienced), Community Living or Family Farm (Woofing) stay near Mama Ocean…Yes we SURF 🌊

・ Opportunities to contribute to nurturing land, retreat projects or healing spaces

We’re available anytime between May 23rd and June 27th.

🌴WHERE
Ideally somewhere along the Pacific coast—Oaxaca region (Mazunte, La Punta), La Saladita, Troncones, Sayulita or Nayarit... but we’re open to other beautiful places too!

🌴ABOUT US
We are a mixed culture family of 4 (Mama 🇯🇵, Papa 🇩🇪, Kids 🇦🇺) from Australia; ocean lovers and stocked surfers, deeply into clean, healthy living, permaculture gardening, wholesome organic cooking, crafting and slow nurturing communal living.

We’ve been on the road traveling for the past 2 years, connecting with likeminded home-/worldschoolers in Japan and along the surf coasts of France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco, working (WOOFING) as a family on farms and contributing to alternative schooling hubs.

NOW, we are looking for a new base in Mexico 🇲🇽 close to the ocean, Ideally, our new “home” is on nourishing land near an alternative schooling community for teens. It could be a family farm / woofing work arrangement, housesitting, retreat space, community living or similar, close to a surf location.

…BUT please share tips or other locations if near good surf & awesome alternative community for the whole family. 🌊

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there!

I truly believe that every woman (and sometimes men, too!) is a mother to someone in some way. Giving birth isn’t the only path to motherhood — nurturing, caring, and showing up with love also makes you one😘

This year, my Mother’s Day was spent knee-deep in packing up the very last bit of our Euro trip and preparing for a new chapter ahead. I was home all day, sorting, cleaning, and organizing — but I still felt so much love❤️‍🔥

Beach day is coming 🐚 and that’s when I’ll be having my real Mother’s Day — make-up style😉

私がいつも思うこと。
すべての女性（時には男性も！）が、誰かにとっての「母」のような存在であり、母になることは、出産だけが道ではなく、愛情を持って寄り添い、支えることも立派な“母性”😘

今年のマザーズデーは、ヨーロッパ旅行の最終準備と新たなチャプターへのスタートに向けて、家の中で荷造り・片付け三昧。でも、愛はちゃんと感じられました❤️‍🔥

そしてもうすぐビーチに戻ったら🐚改めて「本番マザーズデー」をしてもらおうかな✨

By pure coincidence, our short stays in Paris overlapped perfectly. So grateful for this afternoon that brought us together.

He sketches the cityscapes effortlessly, switches between English and French, and travels with his own rhythm, carrying art supplies and a surfboard. Watching him walk ahead, I could clearly sense the solid path he’s paving for himself, even if it’s just glimpsed for a moment.

When you don’t confine yourself and step out from your comfort zone, that’s when you get to experience those exciting moments and entirely new perspectives.
And more than anything, it’s in those precious moments—walking the world on your own feet—that you truly discover your authentic self.

He also shared a lot of his incredible art with us, which completely filled my heart.
Thank you for this joyful reunion🤍

数日のパリ滞在が全く同じタイミング、会うべく出会いに感謝の午後でした。

サラサラと街並みを描き、英語もフランス語も話しながら、独自のペースで画材とサーフボードを持って旅をする彼の後ろ姿には、この先のしっかりとした道筋が、クリアに見え隠れしていたな。

枠を作らず、居心地の良さから出るからこそ体験できる、ドキドキと新しい世界観。
そして何よりも真の自分を発見できる貴重な時間は、こうして自分の足で世界を歩いてみて、初めて体験するもの。

素晴らしい彼のアートも沢山見せてもらって、心が満たされました。
嬉しい再会をありがとう🫶🏽🤍🫶🏽

No wonder we were so exhausted—we were out and walking pretty much all day, every day, for four days straight!
Even just wandering around without a destination was fun in Paris. I totally get now what everyone was telling me about it.

The diversity of cultures and the number of incredibly fashionable people made it such a vibrant place to observe. The kids loved taking in all the little details of the chaos too.

There were also so many homeless people (and yes, in a way, we’re homeless too).
It was fascinating to see what the children noticed and felt—we had some deep and meaningful conversations on the train and around the dinner table.

We also happened to be in Paris during the 80th anniversary of the World War II Victory Day ceremony.
It was humbling to witness and learn a little more about that incredibly difficult time in history...

Thank you, Paris, for having us and keeping us so entertained!

I’m not really a city person, though, so now I’m ready to be barefoot in the grass or breathing in the salty air🌊
歩き回って、色々と感じ、見て、触ったパリ。
訪れていた日と、ヨーロッパ戦勝記念日とピッタリ重なり、至る所で当時の戦時中についてのストーリーを目にした。
私たちがこのタイミングでここにいる意味を、何度も考える機会を受け取った。
パリはとにかく広く、美しく、おしゃれな人が沢山。
ホームレスの人々も多く、子供達と色んなことについて、地下鉄の中や、晩御飯を囲んで沢山話した。
彼らの目線、感じ取るものは、凄く鋭くて、どきっとさせられた。
世界をこうして一緒に感じ会えるって、素晴らしい機会だなと改めて感謝。

Paris is a big, beautifully preserved city!
Charming cafés and bars on every corner—and we’re so lucky to be staying in a small, old apartment with that classic Parisian charm ✨
Malou is soaking in the history and architecture, while Mokky is loving all the sweets she can get her hands on! 😆
It’s nice to be a tourist like this sometimes. 🥐🗼

私がまさかパリに来るなんて、夢にもみていなかった。
そして私たちの旅は、いつも海岸線だけの旅だったので、初の内陸にある都市を訪れてみた。

子供達も来たいと願っていて、マイクも27年前に住んでいた思い出の街パリ。

ヨーロッパを旅立つ準備の為、この4ヶ月の間、子供達には凄く大変な思いをさせたので、みんなでご褒美の旅🫶🏽
そしてヨーロッパの締めくくりとしてパリへの小旅行。
しかし広い！！！
